May 23, 2007 – Santa Rosa, Calif.; Southgate by Delco Builders & Developers was honored as the best new single family home community in Sonoma, Marin and Napa County by the North Bay Business Journal in its inaugural “Best in Residential Real Estate” awards handed out this week.
Finalists were judged by price range with Southgate taking the top award for new communities with single family homes priced in the $600,000s to $800,000s. The North Bay Business Journal’s 2007 Best in Residential Real Estate winners, and there were 15 in all, were selected after dozens of nominations were submitted from Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties.
The 216-home Southgate community in Petaluma with two home collections, Muirwood and Turnberry and nine different floorplans for home buyers to choose from was recognized for its location as a “gateway to Petaluma,” excellence in home design and quality, as well as its significant open space component which includes a new community park, walking trails and an public art space that is located at the entrance to the community at Frates Road at Lakeville Highway.
